Dr Dana Robaei

Dr Dana Robaei is an accomplished and experienced ophthalmic surgeon specialising in cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange and corneal surgery.

She completed her specialist ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital, with additional subspecialist training in complex cataract surgery, anterior segment reconstruction and corneal surgery at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, UK.

Dr Robaei completed a combined Bachelor of Medical Science, Medicine and Surgery (BSc(Med) MBBS) with Honours at the University of New South Wales in 2001. She completed a Master of Public Health at the same university in 2003. She went on to complete a PhD in ophthalmology at the University of Sydney and was awarded the degree in 2006.

She has over 40 publications in leading international journals, including Ophthalmology, the American Journal of Ophthalmology, and Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology.

Dr Robaei has received multiple prestigious awards throughout her career, including the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Public Health Scholarship and the NHMRC Health Professional Research Fellowship.

She was a consultant ophthalmologist and corneal subspecialist at Westmead Hospital for over a decade, as well as a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney.

She is a volunteer ophthalmic surgeon with the charity Australian Health Humanitarian Aid (AHHA), where she performs charitable cataract surgery in Cambodia.

Dr Robaei is the Director of Forest Eye Surgery in Frenchs Forest. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, reading and keeping fit.
